Project #2: Behold our God
Virtual Project 2 is Complete (Behold our God). Our third project will begin June 3rd!
F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q. When is it due?
A. Wednesday, April 22nd @ 10pm
Q. What are we singing?
A. Our second project will be Behold our God. You will find the recording videos above, and instrumental members will get their music from Planning Center, on our Upcoming Music Page
Q. What do I need to do this?
A. The easiest option is to use two devices. If you have a smartphone, use this to record. Ideally, mount it or find someone with a VERY steady hand. Use your second device to play the music (with headphones connected!).
Q. I'd like to but I don't know how!
A. We want everyone in music ministry to participate. If you need technical help, please reach out to us. Let us know what devices you may have available to use (tablet, computer, phone, etc) and we will work to come up with a solution that works with what you have available! We are also recruiting volunteers to help assist others. Let us know if you can help!
Q. I'm not a great singer. What if I sing the wrong note?
A. When everyone is combined together those little imperfections vanish, just like when you sing together in person. I fixed the noticeable wrong notes, but I only had to do this a few times. We sang well on our last song, and we will on this one. Also, you will hear the piano playing your note along with you, just like we do for our Christmas Sweet practice CDs.
Q. What should I wear?
A. Dress nicely and modestly. Be conscientious of any logos on shirts. A good rule of thumb is be to dress as you were expecting guests, but not going to the prom.
Q. Where should I record?
A. Pick a visually interesting location that you like. It does need to be a quiet space without a strong echo. Do be conscientious of your surroundings.
Q. What do you need to see in the video?
A. I need to clearly see your face and upper torso. If you play an instrument, I want to see your instrument. Also, check your camera angle - make sure we're not looking up your nose!
Q. Some videos weren't usable last time. What can I do to check my video?
A. Make certain your video includes the "clap" at the beginning, and continues clearly to the end. Check to see if the audio is clear and is not picking up the music track - just you only. Also, make sure you are uploading the video, and not something else.
Q. How do I send you my video?
A. Direct links are provided on this web page in the left column above. Choose the appropriate section. If you recorded with a cell phone, you can upload directly from your phone with these links. It may take some time to locate your video file.
Q. Can I email it instead?
A. No. If you are having difficulty, please contact us. If it absolutely won't work for you, we'll find a solution together, but this helps us keep everything organized.
Q. How do I know you received my submission?
A. We will email a list of every video we received at the deadline. You should also receive an email from Dropbox once your video is submitted (to the email you entered in when submitting).
Q. How can I help?
A. We need volunteers to help assist others with technology needs. If you are interested in helping, please contact us!
